E and J were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I say that genuinely as I often develop a friendship with my couples after working with them over several months and even years. Their laid back attitude and love for Italy and their guests made a recipe for a really special day. E wanted a Tuscan hamlet to host all of their wedding guests. E and J also wanted a multi day wedding where they could have a pizza night, wedding day and barbecue in the Tuscan countryside.
E and J wanted a classic Tuscan experience for their destination wedding with a hamlet. Sun washed brick in the countryside surrounded by olive orchards and majestic cypress trees but without giving up on all the modern comforts for their hamlet wedding in Tuscany. This is why they set their heart on Borgo di Corsignano near Poppi, about an hour from Florence. Borgo di Corsignano is a fabulous venue owned by Clara Lori shop. Corsignano can sleep up to 90 people and they have 2 pools, workout room, and squash court. The venue has a Plan B that can fit up to 250 people—so being rained out won’t ruin the party. The venue is constantly remodelling and the decor and amenities are always perfect. Check out our write up on this venue here.
E chose a stunning lace gown by Olivis with a Pronovias overskirt. The cream lace cut outs stood out with a contrasting blush liner. Her look was complemented by her cathedral length tulle veil tucked into her chignon bun and lace style gold earring. She walked down the eisle with a pair of sparkly pink Jimmy Choo sandals.
The groom was very handsome with his deep red suit from ASOS. He finished the look with an elegant pair of brown leather shoes and a stylish pair of glasses.
Bridesmaids wore blush pink gowns by ASOS. The groomsmen wore grey coloured suits with blush pink ties to complement the bridesmaids. All of the bridesmaids carried bouquets of gypsophelia. My favorite moment was when the entire wedding party came out dancing as Howard Wing announced them.
Guests arrived to a welcome drink of prosecco. The symbolic ceremony took place in the front lawn of the hamlet overlooking the valley and the medevil tower of Poppi. The amazing wedding entertainer, Howard Wing performed the moving but entertaining ceremony with E and J’s closest friends and family. After the ceremony guests cooled themselves with a signature cocktail bar and tapas. Welsh harpist, Iona Thomas, sang and played melodies during ceremony and cocktail hour. Signature cocktails at this stunning Tuscan hamlet were mojito, mojito rasberry, english garden rossini, amaretto sour, blueberry collins and blushing bride. Guests played garden games as the newlyweds took their wedding pictures with photographer Craig Rodgers.
The wedding dinner was the highlight of the entire event. Howard Wing entertained the guests with jokes andsang the night away. Guests danced around the table, enjoying traditional Italian dishes and wine. Between courses guests refreshed themselves with limoncello shots.
Marisa from Sugarcups Greve made a delicious 3 tiered semi nude cake with gold drip. The cake was decorated with peach and white roses and gypsophelia. The bride and groom chose lemon poppy seed, pink champagne and raspberries and pistacchio cream for the perfect finish for their wedding dinner.
The afterparty went on into the early morning as guests enjoyed familiar tunes and danced the night away with Dj Andrew Murphy from Manchester, UK.
This wedding was fun for the guests and fun for us to plan. If you are looking for a family and friends event for multi-day hamlet wedding in Tuscany.
